The
'99 season looked promising. Miami almost upset
#2 Penn St. until a late game comeback halted
a repeat performance of the previous seasons game
against #3 UCLA. Miami then lost games to FSU
and ECU in successive weeks. The 'Canes lost Kenny
Kelly during the Virginia Tech massacre, but discovered
true freshman Ken Dorsey was a star in the making.
The 'Canes beat Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl
that featured a brawl earlier in the week. The
Offense was lead by freshman tailback Clinton
Portis, and the Defense was once again lead by
Dan Morgan and Nate Webster. |
