| The
'97 season was one of the toughest Hurricane fans
have ever had to endure. With the NCAA sanctions
in full effect and the 'Canes lacking depth there
was no time for guys like Dan Morgan, Santana
Moss, Reggie Wayne and Bubba Franks to acclimate
into the system. Miami would start the season
in rare fashion by losing four of their first
five games. Losing to teams like Arizona State,
Pittsburgh and West Virginia did not make the
remainder of the 'Canes season look fun. Miami
would finish the season with a very poor performance
at 5-6. |
