Miami
began the '89 season on a quest for another National
Championship. The 'Canes would roll through their
first six games with ease, but in the seventh
game of the season the Seminoles handed the Hurricanes
their only loss of the season. After losing to
FSU by fourteen points Miami would rally behind
Dawkins, Chudzinsky, Kennedy, Crum and Russell
Maryland to play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Miami
left New Orleans with a 33-25 win over the Tide
and a third National Championship. |
